Ranch life photography in Conrad,MT :: Loni Judisch Fine Art

Thought I should post a huge part of my life, cattle ranch life. We hauled our cattle back home from summer pasture a couple weeks ago. These images below are in the barn where we ‘work’ them or give them their vaccinations to keep them disease free through the cold winter. The children usually come to the barn for a little while till they are over it. My husband and I agree it is important to show our children what it is to be a farm/ranch kid. When they get older they might even be able to help out more! For now we like to introduce them to well, what feeds them ūüôā

I was practicing black and white post processing with these photos. I love black and white imagery, there seems to be more emotion. There is story you might not otherwise notice when there is an absence of color. I do have a lot of learning to do when it comes to photography and I plan to always be learning, these images below inspire we to go back and experiment with film again. I took darkroom classes in college to go toward my art degree but never honed in on it. I am excited to try it once again and hopefully share images with you soon.
